The
Dover Dieppe ferry crossing has now been withdrawn.
The Dover Dieppe crossing is operated by the Seven
Sisters. This modern
ships is designed to carry up to 600 passengers, 250 cars and 55 Lorries.
The vessel was launched in 2006, so enjoys the latest in facilities and technology to
ensure an enjoyable crossing. This superb new ship is capable of speeds of up
to 22 knots (about 25 mph). With ultra-modern stabilizers you can be sure of a
comfortable crossing whatever the weather conditions.
LD Lines also offers ferry crossings to France from the UK as
follows:
LD Lines Portsmouth to Le Havre
Transmanche Ferries Newhaven to Dieppe
TransEuropa Ferries Ramsgate Ostend
For other ferry crossings between the UK and France, as well as Ireland and the
rest of Europe:

ferry
information page.
The ferry departs from Newhaven at 0930 and 2230 with a return departure from
Dieppe at 0500 and 1800. Check in is no later than 45 minutes before departure.
There's plenty to make the 4 hour trip seem more like a cruise than a ferry
crossing, including a magnificent panoramic lounge, as well as the elegant
surroundings of the bar and restaurant. Make sure you find time on the trip for
some shopping in the boutique while you leave the children in the children’s
play-areas.
The ship sails from Dover's Eastern Docks, right next to the end of the A2
and A20, so easy to find and well signposted. If you already have tickets you
just follow the signs to the LD Lines' check-in kiosks. Tickets on arrival can
be purchased in the ticket office on the right as you enter the port area. Dover
is about an hour's drive down the M20/A20 from its junction with the M25.
Dieppe is a very pleasant seaside town, with an elegant promenade and a
bustling town centre presided over by the Chateau perched on the hillside. The
restaurants are well-known for the quality of their seafood, and cater for all
budgets. It's an easy drive south to join up with the Fench autoroute network
near Rouen, with Paris not much more than 2 hours away, and dual carriageways
and motorways waiting to take you throughout France and beyond. |
