LD Lines is currently the only cross channel ferry operator to offer a Portsmouth
Le Havre crossing on this popular route. The overnight service by the conventional
ferry the Cote D'Albatre, leaves at 23:00 and arrives at 07:30 next morning local
time.
As from March 26th 2010 the largest fast ferry on the Western Channel is starting
work on the Portsmouth Le Havre route. The Norman Arrow will complete the crossing
in just 3 hours 15 minutes.
Portsmouth is very easy to reach with the M27/M275 motorway taking you right
to the dockyard gates, and Le Havre is an excellent starting point for your journey
in France.

Paris is just a couple of hours away, whilst the Normandy Riviera, featuring
popular resorts like Deauville and Honfleur is just across the beautiful
Pont de Normandie, less than an hour away. Just a little further along the
coast are the historic beaches of the Normandy Landings. Or if you are heading
further west to Brittany it's an easy journey on dual carriageway to the
A13/A84. For those going south towards the Dordogne and Bordeaux, the new
A28 has made the trip much easier. |
