SeaFrance is the only French owned cross-Channel ferry operator on the Dover to
Calais route and currently offers up to 15 daily return crossings across its four
strong passenger fleet. Ten of the 15 daily return crossings are operated by SeaFrance's
two superferries, the award-winning SeaFrance Rodin and her sister ship, the SeaFrance
Berlioz.
The SeaFrance Berlioz and sister ship the SeaFrance Rodin
are the two fastest ferries on the Dover-Calais route. SeaFrance's latest vessel
was launched in April 2005 and has the capacity to accommodate 1,900 passengers
and 700 cars or 120 lorries. Their crossing time is a mere one and
a quarter hours in normal weather conditions.
