Stena Line Ferries - Cairnryan (Stranraer) Belfast ferry crossings
Cairnryan (Stranraer) Belfast ferries with Stena Line.
THIS SERVICE NOW ARRIVES AND DEPARTS FROM CAIRNRYAN TO BELFAST.
Travel on the biggest ferries ever to sail between Scotland and Northern Ireland,
Stena Superfast VII and Stena Superfast VIII. These sister ships travel from Cairnryan
to Belfast in a crossing time of only 2 hours 15 minutes with a choice of up to
6 daily crossings.
On November 22nd 2011 the last ferry sailed from Stranraer. Stena Line have invested
£200 million in a brand new ferry port at the mouth of Loch Ryan in Cairnryan. This
was necessary because the shallow entrance to the loch meant the ferries had to
reduce speed which increased the crossing time and wasted fuel. The new port has
meant about 30 minutes shorter journey times.
Both the ships are highly specified modern vessels with every comfort. They feature
a dedicated TV lounge, and there is a jacuzzi and sauna, so don't forget your swimming
costume! Upgrade to the Stena Plus lounge for that extra service.
The POD room offers the ultimate multi-sensory experience – an interactive zone
with all the latest in technology from iPads to Xboxes, sound pods to surf stations.
There is also free wifi, free movies and the Curious George kid's club.
